Manufacturing Units

A-One Steels India Limited and its subsidiaries operate a network of six manufacturing facilities across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Our facilities support the manufacture and processing of a diversified range of steel and industrial products, with operations spanning multiple stages of the steel manufacturing value chain.

With an aggregate installed capacity of 17,33,100 MTPA, our manufacturing network includes facilities for sponge iron, MS billets, TMT bars, HR coils, HR (MS) pipes, GP pipes, CR coils, CR pipes, Met Coke and Ferro Alloys. The facilities collectively support our integrated and backward-integrated manufacturing operations across the different stages of production.

hindpur factory

Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh

Located at Anatapur district of Andhra Pradesh, the facility is spread across 12.35 acres and has an installed capacity of 1,20,000 MTPA for MS Billets and 1,20,000 MTPA for TMT Bars, as of March 31, 2026. The facility supports an integrated production sequence in which steel is processed through steelmaking and continuous casting to produce MS Billets, which are then further processed through re-rolling and thermo-mechanical treatment to manufacture TMT Bars. The facility has been operational since 2009 and contributes to the Company’s long-steel manufacturing operations.

Bellary Facility I, Karnataka

Located in the northern district of Karnataka, the Bellary I facility is spread across 131.91 acres. As of March 31, 2026, the facility has installed capacities of 1,00,000 MTPA Sponge Iron, 2,50,000 MTPA MS Billets, 2,00,000 MTPA HR Coils and 1,60,000 MTPA HR (MS) Pipes. The manufacturing chain extends from sponge iron production through rotary-kiln DRI processing to steelmaking, continuous casting and downstream rolling. HR Coils produced from MS Billets are further processed into HR (MS) Pipes through slitting, roll forming, HF-ERW welding and sizing. The facility also has a 14 MW thermal captive power plant and a 6 MW waste heat recovery boiler power plant.

Gauribidanur, Karnataka

The Gauribidanur Facility, located in Chikkaballapura district of Karnataka, is spread across 15.36 acres and has an installed capacity of 2,00,000 MTPA for MS Billets and 2,16,000 MTPA for TMT Bars, as of March 31, 2026. The facility includes a steel melting shop, ladle refining furnace and re-rolling mill. Its manufacturing process begins with steelmaking and continuous casting to produce MS Billets, which are subsequently rolled into TMT Bars. The TMT manufacturing sequence includes hot rolling, finishing, controlled quenching, self-tempering and atmospheric cooling before the bars are cut, bundled and prepared for dispatch.

Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

Located in the Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh at a border location of Bellary District Karnataka, the unit covers around 50 acres of area. It has a Captive Power Plant (WHRB), DRI (Direct Reduction of Iron), and Steel Melting Shop along with LRF (Ladle Refining Furnace). The plant manufactures Sponge Iron, MS Billet.

Chikkantapur, Karnataka

Situated at Sandur Taluk, Chikkantapur, Karnataka, the facility is spread across 46.54 acres on a leasehold basis. As of March 31, 2026, the facility has an installed capacity of 96,000 MTPA for Met Coke and 37,100 MTPA for Ferro Alloys. The ferro alloy capacity covers the manufacture of Ferro Silicon and Silicon Manganese, which are used in steelmaking. Met Coke is a carbonized coal product used as a fuel and reducing agent, while ferro alloys serve as alloying inputs to support the required properties of steel products. The facility has a 12 MW waste heat recovery boiler power plant.

Koppal, Karnataka

The Koppal Facility, located at Hirebagnal village in Koppal, Karnataka, is spread across 170.45 acres and has an installed capacity of 1,50,000 MTPA for Sponge Iron, as of March 31, 2026. Sponge Iron is produced through the Direct Reduced Iron process, where iron ore, non-coking coal and dolomite are processed in a rotary kiln through solid-state reduction. The resulting Sponge Iron is primarily used as a raw material in steel manufacturing. A 10 MW Waste Heat Recovery Boiler power plant is being set up to utilize waste heat generated from the existing kilns, of which 6 MW is partially operational.

Bellary Facility II, Karnataka

The Bellary Facility II, located in Sidiginamola village, Bellary, Karnataka, is spread across 25.14 acres and has an installed capacity of 84,000 MTPA for GP Pipes, as of March 31, 2026. The facility operates as a downstream processing unit and is involved in processes including pickling and cold rolling, with annealing identified as a proposed process in the RHP. Its downstream product portfolio includes CR Coils, CR Pipes and GP Pipes. GP Pipe manufacturing involves pickling, annealing, continuous hot-dip galvanizing, coil slitting, roll forming, HF-ERW welding, sizing, straightening and cutting, followed by inspection and packing of finished pipes.

Captive Power Plant

Power is an important part of our manufacturing operations, supported through a combination of captive power generation, waste heat recovery and renewable power arrangements. Our facilities include a 14 MW thermal captive power plant and 6 MW WHRB plant at Bellary Facility I, and a 12 MW WHRB plant at Chikkantapur Facility. At Koppal, a 10 MW WHRB plant is being developed to utilise waste heat from existing kilns, with 6 MW being partially operational. In addition, we have entered into 10 power purchase agreements for solar power and 6 power purchase agreements for wind power on long-term contractual terms, together sourcing 230 MW from these PPAs. We continue to expand these initiatives to reduce energy wastage and support more sustainable steel manufacturing.

The production quantity and quality are the among largest in South India, making A-One Steel Group among the largest steel producer in South India.
